ASSIGNMENT 2

Hello students of the  Construction Management Masters:

This time I am asking you first to:


1.- Read the mindtools website, and read the TEAM MANAGEMENT section, especifically the ïmproving team effectiveness.

2.- Read the ¨LEARN TO LEARN¨  website, and practice ONLY one of the reading exercises of either extensive reading or intensive reading, but justify your option.

3.- Choose one of the graphic tools that I sent you to your email today, ( check the attachment ), and use it as reference to prepare one from any of the readings in 1, or 2 above.


This is for Saturday September 7th, 2013.

    De la primera lectura,TEAM MANAGEMENT (gestion de equipos) lo que logre comprender es que se refiere a la importancia de tener un equipo eficaz en la construcción, ademas de que es necesario realizar evaluaciones al grupo que lo forma para mejorar la eficacia generando reuniones de trabajo compartiendo información y así aprender de la gente y así ayudar a entender y hacer cumplir las reglas superando petrones de comportamiento.

    Para la segunda lectura, busque en el sitio WEB LEARN TO LEARN y encontre una pequeña lectura que hablaba de la aplicación segun entendi de la Neurociencia en la educacion y que el resultadopuede cambiar la vida de jovenes y adultos, mejorar la memoria y la capacidad de aprendizaje además de mejorar el enfoque en buscar palabras claves y de manera especifica.

    Respecto al tercer punto no me fue posible hacerlo ya que no encontre la herramienta en mi correo electronico asi que busque en la pagina www.readingquest.org sin resultados.

  10. extensive uses reading and considers that the reading is based on suitable comunicaicon between the members of the equipment to realise a project, since to anticipate facts without fudamentos can create serious problems.

  11. La categoría elegida para la lectura anterior, fue “INTENSIVE READING”; en la cual, efectué la lectura del texto apoyándome en el diccionario, para buscar palabras de las cuales no conocía su significado, y comprender así de una manera completa de qué trata el texto.
    Como un resumen general del mismo, podría decir que trata sobre el liderazgo en la moda y como ser un líder usando el trabajo duro, la paciencia y la persistencia. Enseguida menciona que hay más de 30 artículos en el link de abajo, que nos dan una guía para lograrlo.

    Tema: The Leader-Member Exchange Theory

    I use Skimming and Extensive reading seeking to identify the main ideas of the text for the interest of the title.

    Mis comentarios de la lectura
    Es la Teoria donde se analiza la relación entre los directivos y los miembros del equipo.
    Los miembros del equipo pasan por 3 fases en su relación con su jefe: asunción de roles, el rol de decisiones y la rutinización.
    Se utiliza la Teoría del Intercambio Líder-Miembro para identificar y validar cualquier percepción que pueda tener de la gente de su equipo un Gerente o Directivo.

    Sometimes is used a quantizer in place of a determinant :

    EXAMPLES:
    Most children start school at age five.
    We ate some bread and butter.
    We saw lots of birds indicates According QUANTIFIERS this section are related to the number of things or people.

    Sometimes is used a quantizer in place of a determinant :

    EXAMPLES
    We use these quantifiers with uncountable numbers and names .
    EXAMPLES:
    All any , sufficiently less , a lot of portions of
    more . with none , some , etc .

    Colloquial forms :

    EXAMPLE:
    Lots of lots of load lots etc tons .

    Some quantifiers can be used only with countable nouns .

    EXAMPLE:
    Both , each either ( a) a few, less, not more .

    Some more colloquial forms :

    EXAMPLE:
    A couple of hundred thousand etc .
    Some quantifiers can only be used with uncountable nouns :

    EXAMPLE:
    A little (no) plus some





    And , especially abstract nouns such as time, money, problems , etc: often used :

    Members of groups

    You can put a name after a quantifier when talking about members of a group in general ...

    EXAMPLE:
    Few snakes are dangerous.
    Both brothers work with his father.
    I have never enough money.

    But if you are talking about a specific group of people or things, the use of ... well

    EXAMPLE:
    Few of the snakes are dangerous.
    All children living in the home.

    MOTORCYCLE RACING EVENT

    In motorcycle racing some brokers are under 20 years with a lot of experience and who started from a very young age .

    Fans of this sport are too many and you can not tell that there are so many in the stands . Everyone comes to support for any runner who visit this scenario are several places on the planet .

    Few motorcycles have the power that is marked on your engine YAMAHA because they have a lot of horsepower.

    All hostesses at these events are quite beautiful , with very different outfits as the sponsored many of whom are well known.

    Almost every 15 days to perform these events in a different country where most of the competitors are given assistance because in each race will earn points which are added at the end to determine who's the world champion. There has been a lot of champions for these careers and have some years .
